Last week I had to bring in snack for my little one's pre-school friends.
I wanted to do something fun and I knew they would be reading Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar, {so of course I searched Pinterest for some ideas:) } and ended up with a cute little butterfly snack! I think they loved it!!
Want to make your own? Here is what you will need:
Snacks - I used grapes and goldfish
Snack Size plastic bags
clothespins
pipe cleaners
Mod Podge
Scrapbook Paper
I started out by cutting out the paper and using Mod Podge to adhere them to the clothespins (one for each child) in the same manner as I had done here.
I slide the pipe cleaner thru the hole of the clothespin, like so...
Using a pencil I curled the end of the pipe cleaners.
Finally, I added my snacks to the bag. I put the goldfish in first and then clipped on the clothespin before adding the grapes to the "other side".
Here is my little butterfly army
Aren't they cute;)
Out of the cocoon came a very yummy butterfly :). These are too precious. What a great mommy you are!

ReplyDeleteI love these. I did something similar with raisins and granola and placed them on top of yogurt cups for a parfait snack!
