As I mentioned earlier in the week, our town has a Memorial Day Parade - the local Girl and Boy scouts, baseball teams, veterans and volunteer fire department all march thru our town. Since both my dad and father-in-law are volunteer firefighters, we usually always plan on cheering them on. My little one has gotten (finally) to the age where she enjoys it!
Sunday night rolled around and I realized that I didn't have anything "red, white and blue" for my little one to wear!! I was running in a 5K the next morning, but I just started sewing anyways:)
This is what I ended up with.
Very last minute, so unfortunately I did not take pictures along the way.
But I started with a tiny stained, white t-shirt; a white sheet, and red and blue fabric that I happen to have enough material.
I love the back!!
I hope that she can wear it again in a few weeks for the fourth of July:) That way I can get a cute shot of her WEARING the dress!!!!! I hate it when I leave my camera at home...grr!
Completely adorable. I love everything about it! I have projects, too, that I just can't make time to take pictures of and then wish I had so I could blog about it. So glad you still shared it.
ReplyDeleteAaahhh that little tie in the back is the cutest! Very festive and fun, and I can't believe you made that in a night. (Man, if only my sewing skills were anywhere near that...I have unfinished projects that I've been working on for months, some for years even!) I have a brand new link party going on right now and I'd be thrilled if you'd link this up so everyone can see it!
