Wordless Wednesday - Hurricane Sandy

After being stuck inside since early Sunday morning, I just HAD to get out of the house!!

I just drove about a mile into the center of town and found this...

...and to think this is nothing compared to what they are dealing with in Queens and the Jersey Shore!

Halloween Came Early...

Unfortunately with Hurricane Sandy hitting our area pretty hard, I am not sure we will be able to Trick-or-Treat tomorrow night:(

Luckily, last Saturday our town had a Halloween Parade and my little chicken marched down "Main Street"!!

This year I decided to make her costume!!  

Truth be told, I have actually been thinking about it all year long after reading this post by Amy from While Wearing Heels {one of my favorite blogs}!!   

I just made one mistake!  I should have followed ALL of her directions and made the headband too!!  I opted for hairbow clips instead as after asking my little chicken if she would wear a headband like Grace; I got a very stern "NO".  AH well, I guess you live and learn....♥

Since Grandpa is a volunteer fireman in our town, she also got to ride in the fire trucks:)

And the town sponsored a Magic Show.

Soon of course it will be Thanksgiving time...

But for now, we are all just hoping that tomorrow will not be a total loss:)

What we have been up to?

I know, I know...it has been WAY too long:) 

....we really needed a break....

...but really missed blogging:)

Here are some of the things we were up two since we last posted.

As you know in June, we added a new addition to our family!  At two months old we celebrated the little lady's Christening:)

{I got to be her "fairy" godmother!}

Early this year I shared my Brother-in-law's engagement gift.  Well, a few weeks ago they tied the knot:)

My little peanut is now doing gymnastics and loving every minute:)

She also started a preschool program.  I had a bit of a hard time getting her to pose for a picture:)

That brings us to today....we live in NY and are experiencing the crazy Hurricane Sandy.  Schools are closed, markets are closed, we are all home from work and watching huge trees blowing around in these huge wind gusts!!  What a sight!

We're back!

Hi everyone! Sorry for taking a break from our blog but we're happy to announce that we're back!

Lots of exciting things have been happening these past few months. I (Cortnee) had a baby! She's now 4 months old and really starting to develop her personality. I'm back at work and trying to juggle that with my new family life.

We hope all of you are doing well and had an excellent end of summer/beginning of fall. We will definitely be blogging more so stay tuned for new stories about our little ones!
